What makes your dreams come true?!
Hi Reader,
The number one question that comes up over and over again in the full-time RV living groups I’m in is, “But how do you make money while on the road?!"
It’s even a standing joke that the newcomers all ask the same question about twice a week and end up creating tons of threads on this subject.
When I first saw this question, I was interested in the answers but only because some of them were pretty funny.
Writing articles for food, travel, and lifestyle bloggers (along with my own cooking classes and course) is what is making the dream of full-time RV living happen for my family. 🚐
Now, let me tell you, I HATED writing articles when I first started blogging. I had no clue what I was doing and it took me a week to write one article. 🤣 But seriously.
Needed some extra cash (as we all do…) and my blogger friend mentioned that she knew people who write for other bloggers and made some pretty good money doing it.
Was very reluctant at first because, hello, I could barely write my own articles…
But, the need for cash won out.
Started at the very low end of word count and pricing and wrote two articles per week while working my 9-5.
Took SEO courses (Mike’s Stupid Simple SEO) and joined blogging groups and courses (Dani Myer’s Food Blogger Entrepreneurs). 🚀
As the weeks turned into months, I slowly wrote better articles faster and with more confidence.
My experience in the kitchen allows me to write with authority and insight about the recipes without even needing to cook them first.
This means I’m able to write with expertise that a lot of other food article writers just don’t have.
So, in March, I quit my job working for Apple(!🖥) and started writing articles full-time.
This now allows me the freedom and lifestyle to travel the country with my family in an RV! 🎉
I love my life! 💛
